With the second of my two kids graduating from high school this year, i find myself spending a lot of time reflecting on days gone by. Old pictures of myself, my kids, and my life in general. If you are breaking into that midlife generation, then you have kids that spent a great deal of time IDOLIZING a little yellow sponge that lives under the sea. SPONGEBOB.
Around that same time, we had motorcycles like the HONDA VFR and Kawi ZRX to drool over. Bikes were going from basic and clunky to tech savvy and powerful. MUSCLE and PERFORMANCE, that is what was had. And maybe a dash of a young Brittany Spears, BackStreet Boys, and 98 Degrees. Ahhh. These were the days . A toddler running around the house. A sponge talking to a starfish in a hamburger joint . And crazy fast bikes starting to dominate the streets.
Time Moves on
Time will keep moving on . Young will turn old. WE however will always have Mr Bob and his pals (Patrick and Squidward).
Spongebob first blessed us in 1999. At that time , I had just been married and started my domestic life. A couple of years years into Spongebobs run, I would have 2 young ones to become completely attached to the Spongebob world.
As we see our kids grow and be more consumed with the social media, the political drama, and the economic uncertainty, we will always know that for a short time…. We Had Spongebob.
Eventually, all things merge into one, and Spongebob is there to guide us through. You know the words…. WHOOOOOO Lives in a pineapple under the sea…
