The Impact of COVID On Riding

There has been no doubt that this virus has had an impact on people everywhere. From anxiety to anger. From indifference to sympathy. COVID has caused a change to perspectives and attitudes. Motorcycle riding has long been a source of debate. Its definitely more dangerous than some forms of travel. Advocates applaud the freedom and individuality that it creates. Antagonists will say its bad for the environment, it supports an outdated and ‘non pc lifestyle” and even increases risk of death just by looking at one too long. Adding COVID to he mix has resulted in , at least coincidentally, a worsening of things

COVID BUG and BOOZE

One thing that helps to fuel this negative vide on riding is that since 2019, there has been a significant INCREASE in deaths. Something else that has increased since the beginning of the pandemic is ALCOHOL sales and consumption. COVID has caused those that are care free to be even more care free. Those that use beer , wine, and other spirits to use even more. YOLO!!!

COVID can kill. So can the strategies we use to cope with the stress this thing has created. It no coincidence that the states with the largest rates of death going through 2020 were also those that stand out with defiance and resistance to any and all things COVID. Nearly 95% of fatalities involve alcohol as a factor.
