The giving time. Motorcycles and the season of giving .

The giving season. This time of year is both positive negative.   The year is wrapping up and the season’s are changing.    Due to unpleasant weather, there may be less riding.    The highlighted imbalances in our cities and neighborhoods becomes evident.   Thousands go without food and lack reason to celebrate.

When people have the opportunity to offer help , they do.   The motorcycle community is one that is clearly evident.   Riders are not introverted socially withdrawn misfits that are void of compassion. (not all of them anyway )  Family and brotherhood are clear across every motorcycle group and club.  Whether it’s a local MC or coffee shop meet up.   Giving is part of that focus as well

Helping Those In Need

One way riders can help those in need is to take part in benefit rides.   They are the equivalent of an MS Bike Ride or Alzheimer’s walk     No exercise needed though, just a giving spirit and 2 wheels.

Around the country, you’ll find rides in most state throughout the year, focusing on donating food and toys to help those less fortunate.  These rides are usually a BIG success.  People want to help.

Here are some examples of motorcycle rides that offer help:

You can find events near you by looking Cycle Fish.

These are just a few examples.  You can find information about rides at any motorcycle shop and online.   Look for ways to support giving .   It may just give you yet another reason to ride (not that one is needed).   One of the most rewarding part of life is to give and offer help.   This time of year reminds us all of that.

Keep riding, keep giving, and stay stay safe.
